Level 2 electrical work in the Sutherland Shire

If the work you need sits between the street and your switchboard, an ordinary electrician cannot legally touch it. Consumer mains and point-of-attachment upgrades

New connections for granny flats, pools and acreage

Secondary dwellings are common across the Shire, and so are the connection questions that come with them. A new granny flat in Gymea or Kirrawee, a pool and cabana in Miranda, or a workshop on acreage out toward Menai and Engadine frequently needs its own supply, a metering arrangement and often a three-phase connection rather than single-phase.

As a Level 2 provider we install new and temporary connections, set up metering, and bring three-phase supply to the property where the load calls for it. Temporary builders supply for a knockdown-rebuild on a wider Engadine block is the same scope: we energise the site safely and convert it to permanent supply when the home is finished.

Overhead and underground service lines

Both overhead and underground service lines run through the Shire. Older streets keep their overhead service lines, which wind, salt-laden coastal air near Cronulla and falling branches across the leafier suburbs all wear down over time. Newer estates around Menai and the southern fringe lean on underground service lines that can be disturbed by landscaping or earthworks.

We replace and re-tension overhead service lines, repair and install underground service lines, and renew the service fuse and metering that sit at the boundary of our scope. If your lights dim when the air conditioner starts, or you have visible damage at the attachment point, that is service-line and connection work only a Level 2 provider can perform.

Defect notices and emergency supply faults

An Ausgrid defect notice gives you a deadline, and the rectification has to be done by an accredited provider. We read the notice, identify exactly what failed, and bring the connection back to standard so the matter is closed properly the first time.

Supply faults do not keep business hours. We operate 24/7 across the Sydney metro area, including weekends and public holidays, with a typical emergency response of 30 to 90 minutes. If a storm tears the service line off a home in Sutherland or a fault leaves an Engadine street without power, there are no hidden after-hours or weekend surcharges on the quote.
